Innovative Technologies was founded in 1999 by Michael Cutler, a Fire Protection Engineer who earned his B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland. Prior to starting the company, Michael worked as a consultant for one of the nation’s leading Fire Protection Engineering firms, where he specialized in fire alarm design, consulting, project management, and coordination between property owners, management teams, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). His technical expertise and entrepreneurial vision established the foundation for Innovative Technologies’ commitment to quality, safety, and customer service.
Following Michael’s passing in December 2017, his son Christopher Cutler assumed leadership of the company in 2018 and has continued to grow and strengthen the business ever since. Chris holds a B.A. in Business Management from San Jose State University, is a licensed electrician, and brings more than 14 years of experience in the fire/life safety industry. Under his leadership, Innovative Technologies continues to build on the company’s longstanding reputation for professionalism, reliability, and exceptional service.
